Does Obama have private e-mail account? W.H. won't say

Look for more questions about President Obama's e-mail set-up in the days ahead.

So far, the White House is declining to say whether Obama has the kind of private e-mail account that former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton did, citing security concerns.

"We have made clear that part of the security precautions we take around that e-mail account is not talking about it much publicly," said White House spokesman Eric Schultz said.

The White House is stressing that all of Obama's e-mails are being kept and recorded.

"The President's expectation when sending or receiving an e-mail from any Cabinet Secretary is that's going to be preserved, maintained, and archived in accordance with the Federal Records Act," Schultz said.

Still, people will continue to ask whether Obama uses a government or personal e-mail account.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest's next briefing is at noon on Wednesday.

Eric Holder Also Had Secret Personal Email Address; DOJ Claims No Issue

Secret emails aren’t just a thing that Hillary Clinton uses: Attorney General Eric Holder has a few too, but according to the DOJ, they’re mostly for filtering out spam.
The Huffington Post reports that Holder has gone through three email accounts during his tenure as Attorney General, often using aliases that do not sound anything like “Eric Holder.” According to the Post, his discarded spam email addresses are Henry Yearwood (his mother’s maiden name and a friend’s name) and David Kendricks (a tribute to the Temptations that a spokesman called “soulful”).

It’s all good, though! A DOJ spokesman said that all the email addresses are known to people conducting congressional inquiries and officials handling FOIA requests. But thanks to a few unredacted emails, Holder’s had to change his address to protect from spam, hackers, and spam hackers:

“The Attorney General uses a Justice Department email address to conduct official business. As with many Cabinet officials, he does not use his given name in the handle of his email address,” Justice Department spokesman Brian Fallon said in a statement. “This practice is similar to using initials or numbers in an email address and helps guard against security risks and prevent his inbox from being needlessly inundated. It does not in any way impact compliance with FOIA requests. The Attorney General’s email address is known to the individuals who process FOIA requests, and his emails are regularly produced, albeit with his exact address redacted.”

Fallon also hinted that Holder’s new email address was based on an athlete’s name, so we’re gonna sit here and spam TokyoSexwale@usdoj.gov for a while.

"Nothing to See Here. Move Along."- typical administration attitude.

This is what happens when the press loses all objectivity and picks a side. The press was given broad powers in the 1st Ammendent for one basic reason. The Founders knew that corruption in government was inevitable and someone would need to provide constant and unfettered oversight. That is the job of a free press. It's not their job to advocate for one party or another.

It's a conspiracy.

And an outrage.

If they're refusing to comment, that is pretty clear confirmation that obama also has been using private email.

We all know if this were George Bush, there would be front page headlines in the NYT and WashPo demanding answers and angry talk of impeachment from Senate democrats. The medai would be in a frenzy to force every halfway prominent republican to denounce Bush and his misconduct.

Don't jump the gun , you don't know for sure if Bush didn't use private email, or do you?
