does it work

i will forsake backtest it at least 6/12 month like a tested at the time the ES just was curious how you guys out there see using the same strategies on other trading tools

I recommend to any profitable trader to diversify their trading income because markets always change. Those changes will produce durations where your trading of the Emini ES futures will under perform your normal statistics and you will then need to decide to trade another trading instrument that's profitable or just stay on the sidelines to wait for market conditions to be suitable for trading again in the Emini ES futures.

The best trader I've ever personally met and watched trade was someone that went back n forth between trading the Emini ES futures and Hang Seng HSI futures whenever market conditions was suitable for trading one of them and not trading the other.

hey
if i have a strategy that works for me on the ES will it also work on the EUR/USD?

Well, the short and obvious answer...is to Try It. Fortune Favors the Bold, in trading...and in life. o_O
You truly have to have the adventurer spirit in you, to succeed in trading. If you're the cautious type to ask a million questions, you won't ever decide to get your wings off of the ground.

Most people on (trading) forums are failures, that's just the sad fact. -- So I wouldn't etch their word in stone. Be more open-minded, and dynamic and malleable and objective and subjective as you digest things,

I know nothing about currency trading, but I can't imagine one trading instrument or style...is directly transferable or applicable to another.
Trading is truly unique, and the devil is always in the details.

I personally think the strategy of buying low and selling high works well in any market :D:D

On that note... I managed to sell the low today... yay!

Interesting (as always!)... If you know - Was his switching based on the performance of his ES and HSI system (sort of like an equity curve switching approach), or was it based on some external switch (like maybe vol of ES was closer to historical avg than HSI to its historical avg vol)?

The tendency of most traders is too switch too late (the "grass is always greener" syndrome), so I am curious how he did it (and avoid this issue)...

THANKS!
Kevin
