Response to Fred,
Thank you for your last posting, as it was an improvement; I will therefore be more forthcoming to relating to your concerns:
1. About aggressiveness: All army folks from all countries tend to be more aggressive. Your observation is that a high % of Israeli's have been in the army; your assessment is correct.
2. Every nation has their share of fault/ iniquity. In being the Chosen People (i.e. chosen for responsibility), God has put the Jews through bitter exiles that no other nation on planet earth were put through or could bear, all for the purpose of: a) cleansing iniquity and b) seeing if they can steadfastly keep to the faith [else to find their way back to God] admidst persecution, suffering, life or religion threats, times of poverty & times of affluence, at the expense of their worldly connections, at risk of their their lives, children being raised with tragedy in the family, etc. --if they could that is the best sanctification of God's name possible, namely that there are no conditions separations between the Jewish nation and God.
3. Unfortunately, your main exposure is to secular Israel/ Israelis (i.e. those who have gotten scathed in the exile) and then you have questions if that's called doing the job of the Chosen People (which means chosen for responsibility) and how they merited the Divine assistance to be saved from the attacking nations in the wars against Israel.
...My main exposure, however, is to practicing Jews, who either: a) have been steadfastly "practicing" the teachings of the Torah from the time the Torah was given at Mount Sinai till today, generation after generation, [in the face of everything I mentioned in #2] ; b) or who gotten scathed in the exile but then have found their way back to God. When I see their high level of performance, I don't have the questions you have (Here are some examples: lowest crime rate in the world, lowest juvenile delinquency rate in the world, lowest divorce rate, etc.).
My schedule is tight. If you plan a response, please review carefully and reflect on what I wrote first.
