Does IB charge data subscription fees in base currency or foreign currency?

For IB, do they charge data subscription fees in the displayed foreign currency or do they charge the base currency equivalent and is debited from your base currency line?

For example, european markets data subscription are charged in Euros. Say my base currency is in USD, and I dont own any EURs, when it comes time to pay the data subscription fee, do they charge me EUR or USD equivalent value?

I don't want to be in debit of a foreign currency due to data subscription.
 
From what I notcie on my account - in short yes it is charged and accounted for in your base currency.

IB charge you in the currency of the domicile of the exchange. This then is translated into the base currency and is taken from there.

eg; Your base currency is AUD, you subscribe to 50 euros of data fees. Your fees for the month are 50 euros=75 aud (approximately) and this will show up in the base currency calculation as a line showing 'Other fees' with a $75 loss/expense.
 
Good to know. Basically, even though fees are displayed in a foreign currency, the actual fees are always charged in base currency and debited from your base currency?
