Does futures data really cost this much?

I had an account with OEC until they started charging DOM fees and inactivity fees.

With a funded futures trading account, typically you will pay 5 to 15 USD per month for Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) fees. Without a futures trading account the costs can potentially go up to 378 USD per month (94.5 USD/month for the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX each) if you want access to all of the CME futures contracts across all four market data centers in real-time. However, for the major stock index futures (like ES, NQ, and others), the cost will be 42 USD per month for the CME exchange fee if you do not have a trading account.

Yah. Pretty standard. When I had IQFeed for data it they charged like 150$ from CME unless it was plugged into a brokerage account/trading software that was recognized.

I could however subscribe for a couple of months to delayed CME Data.

Futures exchanges don’t seem to like non traders having data. ICE even hates those who do trade lol.

some charge for data some don't.

in fact, we have to pay data fees to 2 guys; one goes to the charting software,
the other goes to the brokerage agent.

Ante up or don't play.

Thanks for stating the obvious.

Depending on your style, you can use ETF feeds to generate your signals and send them blind. Assuming the futures you trade are very liquid, of course.
