Got my degree in Finance. Also later in life I went back to school and received my MCP+, CCNA, and MCSE+. I own a consultant firm were we design implement, and administrate network architecture. In plain english we build small to mid computer networks for businesses.

I started trading when I was 25. I'm 30 now and on top of my mountain looking down at the view of the rat race and they can have it.
 
Master in Engineering - 1975 (Electronics)
Master in Applied Math - 1979 (Group theory and Algebraic structures)

PH.D. in power electronics - 1980 (Thyristor inverters and induction heating)

PH.D. in Artificial Intelligence and Biocybernetics - 1985 (Associative pattern recognition and collective behavior)

186 - publications
3 - books
64 - patents

2 - national awards in science

And after all of that ............. just a TRADER and proud of it!

If you do go to school, I highly recommend getting a degree in a field that also enables you to get a certification that others cannot obtain unless they follow the same path.

I'm thinking doctor, lawyer, teacher, nurse, cpa, dentist, etc., etc....

Typically this will provide more employment opportunities and/or higher salary. If you absolutely must get a marketing or communications degree, make it a double major :).

Did a fair amount of work in AI back in the mid 80's to early 90's; mainly expert systems w/ lots of rules, heuristics, etc. I loved the buttons we got at one conference where we presented ... it said "Artificial Intelligence --- Better Than None at All" ...

I didn't finish college back then. But, I love learning and in fact I am taking adv. mathematics and programming courses now. I wish I had been more interested in school. Back then I spent more time puff'n and going to GD shows.:D

IMO You should continue learning because ANY form of education is invaluable. Don't rely on trading without something for a backup!
