does copyright for quote data ever expire?

Does a possible copyright on quote data ever expire, just as it does with books when their author is dead for 50/75 years?

I am wondering if recorded quote data may be redistributed after a while, although the original data contract excluded a redistribution.

but I am highly entertained how many of you lazy unemployed suddenly show interest in developing BIG ASS algorithmic strategies, you even wanted to start a brokerage before, now a data service lol. 10 years ago the same guys were sitting all day drinking coke in stained t-shirts and watching Level 2 quotes go by. Good luck in this new world.
