Does anyone use Forex.com?

They seem to go at great lengths not to display the margins per contract... Not on their website, not on MT4... you need to download a broker specific application to get what they call a "margin calculator" (LOL...). Don t know if they re doing that just to confuse the small time newbie... When understanding well margin is the one most important thing about trading with leverage...
They have been "selected" as a broker for the Robins World Cup of trading so I thought I would give them a try...

They are in fact GAIN CAPITAL, LLC. They have a history of fines against them by the CFTC and FINRA. My advice is be very cautious doing business with them.

Thing is, there are so many phoney websites to push CFDs when you google anything on it, that it is not that easy to find the good critical sites...

Don t know how that website manages to keep the reviews on, unlike ET... (see my prev. thread abt that : http://www.elitetrader.com/et/index...e-is-no-broker-ranking-on-elitetrader.288471/ )

I think am going to try out Activtrades only first.. No dealing desk, I think that s the first biggest difference... but probably not still a guarantee, will try them out with a small amount.

It would definitely be nice to have more information on ET about the brokers ET people use... a bit more colour, cos right now it s plain black... big mystery... when the 1st thing one needs to trade is a broker...
 
Thanks again for the heads up SouthBeach, am going for Hotforex, Forex.com has poor reviews confirming my bad vibe during opening process... and keeping Activtrades.

That website FPA, needs to be said, is great.
Exactly what I was looking for and suggesting ET to start doing, on the other thread I have posted above...
But I guess it is some work, and time to get it going with so many reviews...

Indeed, FPA is really a good site to check broker's reputations. You have a good start. But do not only depend on FPA, you need to try it by yourself to check whether it's suitable.

Let us know about your experience with Hotforex. BTW which account are your going to open with them?

ET is also good for referencing a broker. How's about your requirements in trading? and how did you know forex.com?
