The moon cannot move markets.if the moon can move oceans why it could not move human's mind
I do not know why works. But it does work at times if you notice that prices usually drop and people are fearful during a full moon and they go back to peak euphoria and optimism in a new moon. Mercury Retrograde usually also causes pessimism in the financial markets.
I have also heard of people making fortunes based on listening to psychic's advises and or remote viewing a certain stock price in the future. I believe everyone do has some psychic abilities to some extent. Have you ever had the gut feeling? Like deep in your subconscious mind you feel something bad is going to happen and the stock price crashes soon after or you see something and your mind tells you that price is a steal and it does an incredible rally? That is your psychic power at work.
Im sorry i dont think that has any weight. you said it 'works at times' thats probability at play and that 'gut' feeling is due to experience. Im not saying psychics dont exist because i really have no clue but as a trading strategy i would go with technicals personally
If it can, do you realize the amount of effort it would take to figure out how and then design a profitable trading edge? Like the old saying goes "If wishing were horses, beggars would ride." Chasing down mystical gobbledegook is typical of retail trader fantasies.if the moon can move oceans why it could not move human's mind
Not trying to go down this rabbit hole, but simply wanted to say that:If it can, do you realize the amount of effort it would take to figure out how and then design a profitable trading edge?
Show me the edge...over a significant time period including bull/bear/sideways markets. I'm more concerned about that then what you call it.Not trying to go down this rabbit hole, but simply wanted to say that:
You can observe a pattern, and profit from it, without knowing why or how the pattern exists.
Guess I'll say a little more.
Things that tend to occur on a particular weekday, follow a 5 or 7 day cycle.
Things that tend to occur on a particular day of the month, follow a 20 or 30 day or so cycle.
The moon follows a 20 or 28 day cycle. (20 business days/28 calendar days--futures)
Things that tend to occur during leap years follow a 4 year cycle.
Things that tend to occur during the first year of a presidency follow a 4 or 8 year cycle.
There are other cycles (1,2,3,4,8,9,12,21,28,50,100,200, year long cycles, etc.) that work at various times for varying time frames.
If you say "28 day cycle," you're golden.
If you say "moon cycle," you're a quack.
If you reread my post to you, you'll see that I said nothing about showing any edges. My post rebutted your assertion that you need to understand a pattern before profiting from it. That's it.Show me the edge...over a significant time period including bull/bear/sideways markets. I'm more concerned about that then what you call it.
Again, show me the edge. If you couldn't do that in three paragraphs (and 7 paragraphs in your preceding comment), I assume there isn't one.If you reread my post to you, you'll see that I said nothing about showing any edges. This is clearly a true statement (my rebuttal).
If you don't believe that patterns exist in the markets; and that they can be monetized without being understood, then we'll simply agree to disagree.
I never said I couldn't show you. I won't show you.Again, show me the edge. If you couldn't do that in three paragraphs (and 7 paragraphs in your preceding comment), I assume there isn't one.
