a lot of idiots posting in this thread. OP i sent you a PM. For the rest of you - it all depends on what kind of fund it is. Does it rebalance once or twice a day (some rebal more)? What is the investment objective of the fund? Is there leverage involved? Is the index traded in futures contracts or derivitive units?
the USO is a good example of an Index fund that everyone figured out and all the energy futures guys would destroy USO every time rolled. USO has now changed that and it's no longer an issue.
