Why is real estate so expensive within certain sectors of major metro's? The gap in price between neighborhoods is the highest in history. I'm a guy who unflinchingly posts the most anti-PC stuff imaginable yet I'm one of the few white guys here who lives in a majority minority neighborhood.

At one time Iceman lived in Chicago. But then like so many other bleeding heart libs he high tailed it to a place where he's miles from the nearest black guy.

I'm sure you know the type. Mostly broads. I've had dozens of conversations like this with my ex-city friends liberal wives.

Uptight MILF: Oh Pabst we really miss Chicago since we moved 35 miles away into our lilly white suburb.

You have a problem in Chicago, they have a problem in Atlanta,Dc, Baltimore.... IL is Blue, GA is as RED as they get. It's not a problem that can be solved by politicians, from neither party.

Well, the suburbs are a good solution. I don't hate Blacks, but i don't want to live near them, not gonna waste my time try to "right" a community into doing the right thing for themselves. they won't. why waste my time.

As a Repub in the Heartland, I could not be more pissed by the greedy, slimeball bastards in my party, the Banking Industry and the woefully ignorant and morally bankrupt Democrats in Congress dispensing our forced taxation. (Watch the CSpan Fannie/Freddie historical videos. There were several Repubs there trying to stop this train wreck for years.) There is plenty of blame to go around. The "Change" we need is to put Statesmen and Stateswomen in DC that will do the right thing for the country. We need to vote the irresponsible ones out.

Wall St needs more regulation unquestionably, but this is not a failure of the free market system. This is corruption of individuals. Many individuals. Ditto Congress. This is not a time to adopt Socialism/Marxism ... or a domestic Civilian National Security Force the size of the military. (Imagine a 2012 election that puts a weaponized, domestic CNSF in the hands of a truly heartless scoundrel that you abhor. Would you want his minions wandering your neighborhood enforcing their version of "correctness" on YOU? Maybe the Blackwater Contractors driving down your street? It cuts both ways and I don't want to see that. Barack setting that by Executive Order would scare the hell out of me...not because of what would happen in 2009, but what could happen in 2015.

The Socialist/Marxist world produces nothing, but always lies in wait for capitalistic weakness. That will never change. People in Congress are only wasting our money right now. What if, like you, 'they' decide that segments of our population needs to be "empty and over with"? What if your family is on the wrong end of that?

In the end, I suspect the "looking backward" 'feel-bad' you exhibit is exactly the 'momentum' that is going to elect Mr. Obama...not the logical analysis and proactive voting for the legal and economic plans that he has laid forth. This saddens me. It misses all the points about freedoms and free markets. Unfortunately, our schools teach 12 years of English and hardly anything about free market workings. Our kids are going to compete with the enthusiastic and focused Muslim and Chinese populations with one hand tied behind their backs. These cultures have backbone and motivation for their beliefs. The Socialists in the USA are cutting ours out.

No wonder Jim Rogers wanted his baby daughter to grow up in Asia.

Until Americans can come to understand economics and their forward effects, they will have to deal with the results of policies that gave us Freddie and Fanny, etc etc etc.

A President Obama will bring the highest Ying and Yang volatility America has ever seen.

I actually feel sorry for you, the world you want is left in the 80s. Throughout history there is always segments of people who cannot get their minds to overcome their shortcomings and thus find themselves living in a world where it seems as though they are not part of it but looking from the distance. This is the most unfortunate place to find yourself but its reality and we are human.

When you wake up in the morning realise that the world would have moved further away from you, think about this every morning you awake. I am yet to meet someone like you that is truly happy.
