Does anyone feel like this economy is full of expendable jobs?

otherwise, it's not "your" it's "you're" They call it a contraction, Which you should know before you start mouthing off on the internet like you know your ass from a hole in the ground.

...I'm not sure when it will happen, but this country and world needs to stop pretending that capitalism still needs to exist. We have enough resources and capital to build what we need and enough gifted/autistic people to progress our technology and civilization for more than just greed reasons.

Also, I feel like most of the countries problems are related to the stock market. I think the stock market (more so than futures or currencies) is evil because it creates bad incentives and short term decisions that don't benefit our nation in the long run...

 OMG!

No sympathy here, not meaning to be rude. I am middle aged as well having to work hard to keep current w the kids. The point is, when I have had a DBA position opening in the US, there are few if any US citizens that even apply. I have had to sponsored 5 green card applications in the past yr because there are no US folks who apply. This was true for ST Louis, NY, and Boston. If you have 25 yrs experience and are certified from a vendor, your like gold. Especially if English is your first language.

If your a trader, you need to constantly be looking for new / testing your current edge(s). If your in IT, you better damn well have current vendor certs on your resume. You don't want a surgeon that doesn't keep current.

No offence intended but it grates me to hear this kind of IT hiring practise. There is often a great mismatch between how IT positions are filled ( specifically requirements ) and what is really needed. I won't get into detail on this because this a trading forum, but my point is you might want to consider why there are no candidates more closely.

No one outside of a mental institution can possibly believe this. God knows the system is deeply flawed but to even think this kind of approach will lead to anything but chaos and rampant poverty beyond anything we currently experience is just pure lunacy.

GET A FREAKIN' GRIP, MAN!
