Thank you, I have tried that and much much much more, many drugs don't even work on me for sleep or pain. Surgeries I start count at 99 to 0, have tried hypnosis and that got me up to 3 hours but not anything else. Might be fear, not of dying though, worse things in life than dying, life is hard.
Oh no, I'm so sorry.

I suppose you have also tried the neurotransmitter, GABA? It is often depleted under stress, and it's hard for the brain to shut down and sleep without it. My naturopath taught me this during a brief bout of insomnia, and it worked like a charm. B Vitamins? 5-HTP? If you're chemically imbalanced, that can definitely cause anxiety, insomnia, depression, etc. Are you eating a diet based on real foods--nothing artificial or processed? No artificial sweeteners, no trans fats or hydrogenated oils, no high fructose corn syrup... I'm guessing yes to most of this...just some ideas.
I'm so sorry you struggle with fear. I don't know if you're a person of faith or not, but for me, what gives me peace and greatly helps keep fear at bay is knowing God is with me no matter what, and He knows what He's doing. He can work all things for good, and I see this happen all the time. Even when I was trading, I was so calm, as I knew God was with me. I've had so many amazing experiences as a Christian, that it's an unshakeable foundation I stand on. So, if you're a believer, or open to it, I definitely recommend seeking a relationship with God and putting your trust in Him. Sorry if this offends anyone--this is my personal belief and what works for me.
I really hope something works out for you soon, and I'm sure it will. Keep trying--I believe you'll get there.
P.S. I just checked your profile and see that you're in Texas. Here's an idea...if you look at what's called a light pollution map, you'll see there are many places in Texas that have *dark skies* where you can see thousands of stars, plus the Milky Way. Since you wake up in the middle of the night, perhaps stargazing, astrophotography, or amateur astronomy with astronomy binoculars or a telescope might be a fulfilling hobby for you, and maybe even one that could help alleviate some of your fears, as it's an absolutely incredible, peaceful feeling to be under dark skies beholding the vast universe that surrounds us. You can see nebula, galaxies and star clusters with just your eyes. Binoculars will show you the shape of Andromeda Galaxy. If you think this might interest you, feel free to send me a PM, and I would be happy to offer suggestions of where to go depending on your location.
