Does anybody trade FCOJ on ICE?

Quote from PohPoh:

Maybe an inverse H&S in the cafe?

Interesting to note...went to a private event last year by one of the big banks, and they had some excellent analysis on which commodity sectors perform best/worst WHEN ISM is below 50...

The worst performing sector in recessionary environment are the softs...followed closely by the energies...
Top performing sectors in recessionary environment are grains and metals....

Well problem is markets trade in the future - so buy that shows it has bottomed and short that shows it has topped

Do you mean the worst performing sector FOR BUY AND HOLD INVESTORS in recessionary environment are the softs

and Top performing sectors FOR BUY AND HOLD INVESTORS in recessionary environment are grains and metals ???

Futures traders, like the people who read "Forums >> Futures Trading >> Ag Futures", are comfortable going short as well as long. Futures traders find the softs and the energies to be delightful performers in recessionary environments ... as long as you put on the appropriate position.

I think the idea was "after one year of sub-50 ISM, the sector with the worst performance YoY were softs and energies..." and the best performer YoY were grains and metals...

I'll try and dig up the synopsis...

Yes, I too am comfortable going short and long, and sometimes sideways...
