Does any one make money intrady trading

Don you've sure come along way since Eddie left. At least in your own mind that is.

Quote from Don Bright:

The discussion of "proof" reminds of something I did a few years ago. I sponsored a panel of industry "professionals" - book writers, seminar givers, chat room types...guru's of all sorts. I'm talking the "usual suspects" - names you've seen a million times.

I originally had about 28 respondents. I only wanted 6 or 8. I told the respondents that I would like to make this panel "real" - and asked that they simply show me the last couple of years' tax return (segments, not even the whole thing) that reflected only a paltry sum of $50K). Well that narrowed the field down to 4, and 2 were my brother and I, LOL.

(Don't ask me for names, LOL).

Don :p

Quote from Dr. Zhivodka:

So if I've got this right the only requirements you have are 5 years of tax returns and then simply to "watch" someone for of a couple of a months(to be defined)? And for this you will pay someone a large multiple of 10K?

The person that you observe has no responsiblilty to make you profitable? Is that right?

So basically you're willing to pay a dear sum and additionally trade your professional services just to prove to yourself that intraday profitability is possible?

Is this right?
Are we negotiating? No, it's not right.

The more money that I'm paying, the more I will expect in return.

Quote from fearless9:

I would imagine that those people making substantial daily profits feel that they have nothing to prove to those people who are not.

Hence the complete absence of substantiating evidence.

Then your "offer" is a moving target. And no amount would be sufficient because there's no way that anyone can make you profitable. The student is the weak link in this relationship. No one in their right mind is going to make a deal where their compensation is based on the success of the variable which they cannot control.

Unless of course one runs a commission shop.

Daytrading is so much more than just having that "supposedly successful trading methods."

Some people just don't have the right mindset/personality to daytrade.

A teacher can tell you all he knows, but if a student is an idiot, no money will be made.

Could it be as simple as those that can, do.

Those that can't take 10K from desperate posters off Internet message boards?

Good Luck!

Keep your money. Keep your services.

Once you 'get it' and become profitable, 'pay it forward' to another person who needs a hand learning to trade.

Begin your journey in this thread, and when you arrive at the end, you'll find people posting their results (charts, blotters and notes) who learned the same way you did - one step at a time. By following the the directions given within the thread, and thereby, teaching yourself to learn to trade, you'll see what many already know - this isn't complicated stuff. The process is more important than the destination.

The process takes about a year. Some require more time, while others, need less. Most people won't bother putting forth the effort.

It's funny I don't see him desperate at all.

I just see him approaching this from the wrong angle. But he's Lawyer...he has a certain mindset which may or may not serve him well in trading. I tend to think not. In my experience Medical Doctors and Lawyers to some extent make some of the worst traders. Pilots and military guys tend to make the best...IMO.

Quote from JimyJam:

LOL, I'm not the one begging for a trading system on anonymous chat board.

It's reall way too easy, pity anyone who knows it won't be bothered showing how.

Cheers,
