Read it once again... nearly every state has warned pharmacists that Ivermectin is not approved and they have every right to refuse to fill Ivermectin prescriptions.
Just a few of the over 250,000 Google search results on pharmacies refusing to fill ivermectin
I have been prescribing Ivermectin for the last 6 months. The last 2 weeks I have had two pharmacies refuse to fill my prescriptions stating that Ivermectin is not FDA approved for treating Sars-Cov-2 infections. I called the pharmacist and asked exactly how many off label scripts she still fills and if this new approach is across the board. She reported it was only for Ivermectin. This was Rite Aid Pharmacy and I was told this is their policy as of 2 weeks ago.

Let's see what the law says... in recent weeks many states have sent out notices stating very directly that pharmacists have every right to refuse to fill any prescription order that is contrary to their professional judgement -- in notices which state Ivermectin is not approved for treating Covid-19
Let's see the N.C. law - -which is similar in other states.
Pharmacists are reminded that they have a right to refuse to fill or refill any prescription order if doing so would be contrary to their professional judgment. Moreover, a pharmacist shall not fill or refill a prescription order if, in the exercise of the pharmacist’s professional judgement, there is a question as to its safety for the patient. 21 NCAC 46.1801. As well, pharmacists have an obligation to engage in neither negligent nor unprofessional conduct in the practice of pharmacy. G.S. 90-85.38(a)(9) and (a)(10).

O: All Pharmacy Licensees
FROM: Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy
DATE: September 17, 2021
SUBJECT: Ivermectin for COVID-19
On August 26, 2021, the United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC) issued an advisory (
https://emergency.cdc.gov/han/2021/han00449.asp) noting that during the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a rapid and significant increase in ivermectin dispensing by pharmacies as well as the use of veterinary formulations available over the counter but not intended for human use. An increase in adverse effects associated with ivermectin misuse and overdose are being reported, including severe gastrointestinal and neurological effects.
The CDC emphasizes that ivermectin is not authorized or approved by FDA for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has also determined that there are currently insufficient data to recommend ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19.
The Board would like to remind pharmacists that they have a right to refuse to fill or refill any prescription if doing so would be contrary to their professional judgment. Moreover, a pharmacist should not fill or refill a prescription if, in the exercise of the pharmacist’s professional judgement, there is a question as to its safety for the patient.
