Doctors boycotting California's Obamacare exchange

Two of my father’s doctors no longer see Medicare patients. That’s the trend in California and apparently it’s spreading across the country.

A SURVEY OF AMERICA’S PHYSICIANS:
PRACTICE PATTERNS AND PERSPECTIVES

-- Over 52 percent of physicians have limited the access of Medicare patients to their practices or are planning to do so.

-- Over 26 percent of physicians have closed their practices to Medicaid patients.

Let's see how long they last when the can't make their mortgage payments. The government should start making funds available and put pressure on the med schools to start accepting all qualified pre-med students to increase the supply of doctors.

Most doctors in California lose money on medicare/medi-cal patients. Why would they take on more patients? That's like a retail store manager saying: "We lose money on every customer, but we're going to make it up in volume."

The father of one my daughter's best friends is a physician. He's not happy about opting out, but he said he cannot continue to see patients for whom he gets paid a fraction of his cost. Seeing more patients makes it less likely that he can make his mortgage payment.

In typical liberal loon fashion. You want the government to "solve" the problem, with copious amounts of money no less. A problem that the government created in the first, by also spending absurd amounts of money I might add.
