Do You Use Meditation\Mindfulness in Your Trading Routine? If so, how?

Do You Use Meditation\Mindfulness in Your Trading Routine? If so, how? I'm not necessarily talking about religious or spiritual meditation but rather simply keeping yourself in the current moment of trading.

I started using it in my trading prep to prevent myself from carrying my past emotions (good and bad) from previous trades to keep myself clear headed for the current trade I'm in. It seems to help. Fear from a previous loss and over-exuberance from previous profit don't seem to creep into my mindset for the current trade I'm in.

Traditional Mindfulness Meditation???
No

But this Yes

It seems people who follow this type of meditation behaves like more like a cult then being at peace with oneself.

Meditation wont make a bad trader better. But it gives the network of Twitter trade education sales ppl something to write about.

Just sleep 8 hours and cut out coffee if you are day trading. That's the same as an hour of meditation zen right there.

I don't want to get up before 6am to make time to meditate, and I need all the time after 6am for normal morning routine, some fresh air, and a very solid prep session from before the open.

I think if I traded more swing moves over numerous days, and was running some heat, then meditation might help with the long periods where the heat is on, but there is nothing to be done.

There are some non-meditation things I like after the trading day is done, or on any day, to totally clear the mind of noise and chop. I never really want to start the activities, but 20mins in, the mind is focused and cleared. Feels good. Exercising the ability to maintain task-oriented mindfulness is valuable to trading.

Maybe if there was a meditation for warriors who come for the competition. I'm no warrior, but it is kill or be killed. You don't want to meditate your way to being a foppish socialist bohemian in this game.

Lol. Sleep is important, I’m a big believer that it is more important than what we eat. But, master meditators or ones that practice it as a way of life can go with 2-3 hours of sleep and be more focused and better rested than those who sleep 8 hours. Unless you’ve practice meditation and actually feel the benefits it will seem like hog wash but then again that’s how people react when they don’t understand a concept . Peace warrior

There is a difference between mindfulness and meditation.

Mindfulness is just a secular technique that you can use to increase your mental performance, become a more profitable trader, be successful in life, whatever.

Meditation is that spiritual path which could lead to awakening and realizing that trading is just a waste of time and energy and that you would rather give all your money to the poor.

So be careful what you wish for.
%%
True;
be careful what you wish for. But really with M Webster's dictionary as the judge, meditate includes what you said, but also;
chew over, consider,
debate , deliberate,
ponder, pore over,[Proverbs but NOT limited to Proverbs]
weigh, wrestle with
revolve, ruminate.
Sorry , sounds you think[ ''trading is waste of time+ energy, + you would rather all your money to poor ''] NOT sure how becoming poor , helps the poor''??:cool::cool:, :cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

Meditation is a common component of martial arts training and has been used in many cultures to prepare for battle. BTW, most good traders were once "bad traders".

How do you accept your losses now?
I rarely have any, but this week I took a couple of rubbish trades that I knew had small prospect of winning but the bigger picture is that I am consistently profitable very month so I can have these crappy trades to appease my 'boredom factor'. When they do pay of they compensate for the losses several times over. The core of my business however is trading for profits every month. I already have my profits for November.
