Don’t. Utter style over substance. There’s a good reason pc: Mac ratio is 70:30.

Aaaahhhhh, that's very interesting about the new google chromebook plus, thanks for that. :)
I'm running 3 chromebooks atm one is Asus, the other two are the older Google models, absolutely love them.
 
Just a heads up to those unfamiliar with chromebook, every program runs on the cloud, they don't run on your hard drive.
There are limitations on which programs you can run.
For example, Amibroker can't be loaded on the cloud, that I'm aware of.

Over the years I’ve had hard drive failures, WiFi adapters that quit once a week, displays stop working, etc. All of this has been on PCs while people with Mac’s say the hardware performs flawlessly. That’s what I’m interested in. I’m guessing that the 70:30 is due to the price difference and not user experience. It’s why most people have android phones instead of iPhones, and I highly prefer iPhones myself. If a virtual machine will solve my trading platform compatibility hurdle I think I’m gonna switch. The only thing holding me back is available screen size. I use my laptop most of the time without an external monitor and I’ve gotten used to the 17” screen. The extra real estate is worth more than I realized. I’m gonna have to buy a Mac and use it side by side with the PC to really find I guess.

That is a windows program, TradingView will run in a Chromebook browser.

Apple silicon is the Arm instruction set processor that Apple introduced in 2020 replacing Intel processors. Interactive brokers trader workstation is a brokerage application that runs on the new Mac’s, tc2000 is a charting program for us stocks with a scanner that runs on Apple silicon,
