I simply can not believe this statement came out of the democrat House Leader's mouth. She wants to look into the funding of the opposition to the mosque? What is wrong with these Democrat parasites?

What cabal has so much power they could pull Pelosi strings to the point where she is willing to get on t.v. and be a traitor to her people?

I think some screws are getting loose here. This woman is progressively losing her mind in an explosion of power addiction, arrogance, and, underneath it all, fear that, as the midterms approach, things are running away from her. Therefore, her grip on reality is weakening and her real aggressive personality is showing.

I think you are right. Plus she is in her 70's now and she is obviously having a mental problem over her deteriorating physical appearance, too.

Just remember that when the famous and largely misunderstood "an eye for an eye" was written (eg, Deuteronomy 19:21) the punishment for various offenses was often extraordinary. Back then, if you pissed off a powerful person you were killed, and your family, servants, cattle etc as well. Even among common people, the victim's family would come at you with everything they got - and since the offenders were often weak (eg, thieves) the net result was frequently quite bloody. This law was meant to signal a sort of reasonable compensatory punishment or return of the stolen property, that's all.

In some cases we have that today, eg, I have to give back what I stole, plus something on top of that to compensate my victim for the pain I caused. In other cases the punishment far exceeds that ancient guidance - eg, if I steal a loaf of bread I may end up going to jail for months.

The idea is that the law didn't mean "vengeance" but "reasonable compensation to the victim". Even after 3300 years, we have yet to rise to the elegant simplicity and humanity of the Mosaic Law. Oh well...
