How long ago did you burn those credit cards? What/when was the last activity ever made by you on a revolving line of credit, or other form of loan? You can check for yourself at https://annualcreditreport.com.
It's good to check that once per year. For FREE!
I've stated the year several times already...
1995. (bold letters this time)
I've also stated the year the last activity involving co-signing on a loan for a relative at the same bank as mine...2019. (bold letters this time)
Now I've stated the above...again. Regardless, I'm still debt free and loving it.

Ahh, so your credit history wiped in 2005. You just took on a loan in 2020 as a co-signor. So you once again are establishing a credit history for yourself.
It doesn't matter for you, since you pay for everything in cash. Ergo, a credit score matters not in your case.
No, he was the co-signer due to his good credit. What he's not making clear is that he had loans since 1995! That is what kept his credit history intact.

I think the only years I had inactivity or no activity on my credit history was when I was in the military. Not sure considering I didn't check my credit history while being a soldier but it did cross my mind when the girl I was dating wanted to move off base.
Ever since...there's been activity every few years on my credit...last one in 2019. (not 2020).
I stated last year but called last year 2020.
Still debt free and no more credit cards...still the point I'm making. The other point, after someone has established good credit...there are ways to maintain that good credit rating without a credit card.
Also stated but not the point but someone else made it a point...you have the same protections / rewards on your account via a Debit/Visa or Debit/Mastercard without needing a credit card.
There's a difference between Credit Card versus Debit/credit card.
