my approach to ET is simple:

1. read everything
2. learn about trading methods & setups
3. ignore people's opinion on what is possible and what is not possible.
4. ignore members's forecast of the markets.
5.go back and look at all the posts of the humble members of ET.

Some posters are real loosers, spelling counts. {:>)

I think you mean "loser" and not looser than loose. Don't you just hate it when a potshot ricochets like that!

To answer the original question: No in general, but I have seen boards (ET for example) with a better clientele than most. It doesn't take long to figure out who knows what they are talking about and who is just talking.

No, but he probably hates it when the joke goes right over someone's head...

A private joke? Maybe so. I'm seeing this post for the first time without knowing who the regulars around here are. Potshots are the norm on the Yahoo board system and sometimes here as well. I may be SO conditioned by now, that seeing this post made me see it first as an attack. Carry on folks. Knock yourselves out.

Im wondering if the people who posted "most of the time" or "all the time" were joking...

Whenever I read a Yahoo stock board, thats when I lose money.

When I seperate myself from the news and message boards...concentrate on the charts first and foremost...thats when the big money gets made.

Are you stating you have taken advice from Yahoo! stock boards and put real money on what someone suggested would be a good trade or investment???

How often have you done such???

Do you still use Yahoo! stock boards for any trade analysis even though you no longer listen to specific advice on what to do and what not to do???

It was a joke not an attack, maybe an attack on spellers.

"looser" was intentional. A frequently use word in this business I can't believe the number of times this word misspelled.

If you're trying discern whether the information is valid or interpret the authors intent detail is everything and if people are careless in spelling....they may have left something else out.

I am a mb junky. Easiest way to check a guy out. Ask questions you know the answer to.
