This world is not Disneyland.
With the exception of basic life necessities though.
I'm assuming you meant fine, luxury items. and automatic rights to better things. -- All of these have to be earned.

When I was young, my grandfather told me, "If you expect to eat regular, you'd better plan on working". (Of course that was before the age of "social support and lifestyle everything".)
Nowdays, there are all kinds of ways to "suck tit" on the taxpayer... programs inspired to garner political support for scumbag politicos.
In America we're not going to let people starve or freeze to death, of course. That said, I'd like to see social support be, "3 hots and a cot" in a shelter. That's minimal life support and sustenance. If people want better than that in their life... THEY SHOULD EARN IT FOR THEMSELVES!
