Do you all Believe the woman who is accusing Va. Lt. Governor?

The difference between Kavanaugh and the Lt. Governor is he is admitting they had sex. He claims it was consensual, now she is saying it wasn't.

The one thing that is clear to me is if conservatives think they are scoring any points with liberals by adopting the "principled" position that we should all take a deep breath etc and not rush to judgment, they are deluding themselves. Liberals are perfectly capable of ignoring a sexual assault by one of their own and the next minute demanding that a republican resign because of ancient unproven claims. You can ask Roy Moore about that.

I don’t know about being too much of a liability for the democrats. The Virginia Governor’s race precedes the federal elections. Rehashing this would certainly create a mood that would tarnish the shine on other Dems.

However, I think you bring up a good point very few people are actually discussing. Northam can simply hold on.

Nah. The democrats will likely air this out should the lt gov get moved up to the Governor. They are democrats after all.

Yup, I know that about being limited to one term.

And yes, he might be able to ride it out. Particularly since the back-up plan is a minefield too.

But in regard to not being too much of a liability for dems. Nope- I cannot join with thee on that and neither do the national party bigwigs and candidates trying to move his arse out. They are sweating bullets and are wayyy too involved for a state matter. The dem strategy for 2020 clearly, clearly, clearly intends to capitalize on the metoo movement and keeping the Kavanaugh "injustice to women" phony narrative going. To have Blackface Boy sitting there in VA and Son of Kavanaugh/the Lt. Gov. means that the dems dont come to table with clean hands right when they want to do the moral superiority gig.

Their problem not mine. It's a dirty scenario for them. Best thing for them- as always- is to hold on a few days or hours and let Trump do something outrageous- maybe another shutdown- declare a national emergency- whatever, and then get CNN (which is a PAC for the democrats) and other lefty media to direct attention away from it. All the dem candidates will go on the record expressing their concerns but that it is a local matter for Virginia to resolve at the end of the day blah, blah, blah.

I have no way of knowing one way or the other. It is not a matter of one's opinion, it is a question of fact. There is no way to confirm what happened or didn't. He seemed a bit odd, so it wasn't hard to believe, but it seemed a bit strange that no one said anything about any of it for 30 years as he was a well-known statewide figure.

My point however, is that dems and their media arm automatically give total credence to one and basically ignore the other. If this woman accusing the Lt. gov. had video of it, they still would try to trash or ignore her. I don't need to speculate about that because that is exactly what happened during the Clinton administration.
 
Lefties are beginning to agitate over the media prioritizing the governor issue over the lt. guv sexual assault issues.

I have to say that I saw this coming a bit. Earlier I saw a clip of Sparticus being approached for a hallway interview on the run in DC. He was asked what he thought or what his position was on the lt. guv issue and he said "right now I am focused on the governor."

WRONGO!!!!! Not good. Wrong answer Sparticus. Tidy up your answer before tomorrow and maybe no one will notice but you are not going to get away with putting the plight of an assaulted woman below ANYTHING without having it come back to bite you. Wise up while you still can- your lefty progressive buddy candidates will smile at you today but cut your balls off when every one starts getting voted off the island- which is where all primaries end.

Looks like Tony is going to have to revise his hatred of Southern whites to all of them... not just Republicans.

We have been telling Tony the few racists in the South would almost all remain Democrats... they hated Republicans as Northerners.
