Do Trendlines work?

INTRADAY EMINI TRADING

Losing money=failure
breaking even=excellent ..$$$$$ around the corner
making money=congratulations .......go to head of class

Success in this business is not free and I doubt that it can be bought......except by massive hours of sweat and tears and extreme determination....effort required is probably same as earning 4 year college degree....
 
Not alot of profitably tradable trends today in the stock index futures. Not even worth a picture.

Felt lucky to be positive on the day.

Tuesday started YM looking crazy with the news.....I don't look @ ES or NQ...or any other chart...just YM ...just personal preference.....have done the others...I am one of those poor folks who have poor ways so I trade only the $5 per point chart..........rest of day after 1st hour or so settled into tradable but will agree not that nice.............intraday YM always is somewhat tradable if patience is maintained..... trade a good system with good rules properly and one should succeed......... .......Duard, I must say this forum is so much better than most, because the personal attacks are not here, unless I've haven't found them yet..I have only begun reading....the numerous charts are really enjoyable and thought provoking... ..thanks for that very much....Best wishes for a great trading career....
 
Recently I have found trading tests of the recent highs and lows much more effective than trying to catch a trend. Looking at the last ten days you can see that looking for a trend could be a bit frustrating.

If we anticipate the market, risk increases......finding the system that works in all markets is not easy to do......... each day seems to present a different picture than previous day, but never a picture that hasn't been seen before..over and over......once we see enough of them, we can use the system that fits the day, if we don't have a single system for all days. ....It is very difficult to find... and it won't be found here.....

Thats similar to what I've been doing lately. But I use the fib retracement on 5 day chart from high to low. Looks like a short on any move above 10655 at the open.
 
Certain trendlines work well.....very well....mechanical systems work well....the enemy is us....I don't let Porgie get too close to trading, once the system rules were proven to work. The system talks and Porgie listens....making money is the goal.....creating the system was pure pleasure.....this business is only for those with 100% commitment........
