Do Trendlines work?

Visit us, you'll see for your self. Its not that hard. It takes two weeks in training and you are flying this thing!

Yeah,
But didn't you try to tell us that all those screens still required the addition of some kind of bionic gismo? I kind of walked away with the idea that right now you could only train them "genitor" types for that kind of a job. :)

nononsense

Savy your charts I had some Q's about... But, perhaps after a couple of more days, I'll see more interesting aspects. Presumably, your a pennant ace... I am noticing that many of your critical points on your lines occur when volume is at a relative max...

Sure, I'm open to questions.

I have a question for you.

When you state "critical points on your lines" do you mean the break out point?

Also, what do you mean by "volume at a relative max" ? High volume on the breakout ?

I might be interpreting your observation wrong, please me know.

Thanks.

We have just upgraded this profile. We now accept plumbers too. :D

As I said before trendlines are useful for exits, as they only show the rate of the trend and nothing else, I have written an article on basic TA, all feedback is appreciated.

For you they may only be usefule as exits.

I use them for entries and exits.

If you have a moment, take a look at some of the recent examples that I have posted here with charts.

Would like to hear your thoughts.

I've had a quick look over your charts mate, and they all seem to be triangle breakouts, triangle breakouts are a very special type of trendline break, when the market forms a triangle, the trading range is tightening, and therefore a break in one direction has to occur. I think that when trading a breakout, it's best to wait for a breakout of a chart point, rather than of a trendline, beacuse at the end of the day, a trendline is something that you have drawn, and there is no logical reason to suggest that a break of an upper trendline means an uptrend has started.

Just my thoughts

As usual, people spend so much time on this subject. I am posting a chart where I tried to use a trend line. Normally I would not put it in, but just eyeball it. Anyway you can see it in place and the trades I took today. Frankly I think it is rather silly to talk about trend lines in isolation. Little use to anyone really and there are so many more things to think about when making trade decisions. Well, have at it folks.

Good luck on Monday,
Lefty
