I will agree the republicans had their chance and didn't take advantage of the power they had, but to describe the voters who vote republican as ignorant is just plain irresponsible. Do you honestly believe all republicans are bible thumping extremists, or people who can't think for themselves and need Rush or Sean to give them direction?
The conservative movement is still going strong, while the left wing liberal national radio stations are filing for bankruptcy. I think that says a lot about each party's message.
