Do professional traders use time based bars for footprint?

I was watching a course about footprint charts and the course said that professional traders don't use time-based charts and they mainly use Renko and volume charts.

I am still an amateur trader so I would like to know what you guys think.

Sounds like that course is steering you towards something they’re trying to sell or benefiting from in some way. Professional trades use all sorts of things, including time based charts.

ValeryN is right. There are lots of amateurs trying to get other amateurs to pay them money by teaching "something" that most likely isn't working (hence they teach for income).
