The more conservative your are these days the more you care about the country and wish to protect freedom and liberty for all... race is not even factor in those ideas.

So why are conservatives trying so hard to take away freedoms and liberties, at least for everyone but the 1%?

Conservatives couldn't care less about the "country". They care only about the rich.
