Dude, you need to get out more. If you aren't seeing something like that at least once a quarter, you've #@*&ed up your life. I'm at sights that could make that flick a couple times a month at least.
We're not talkin' huge amounts of coin, just hop in the car n go. Pack some camping gear if you are low on funds or want to avoid civilization. The cool places that are fairly empty sometimes require some dedicated hiking/climbing - but it's easy to get into shape that outstrips the average overfed tourist - especially since they all seem to be wearing sandals

I have a steep hill behind me, when I moved in the hardwoods were dying and I had these tall jack pines growing taller each years, now 30 years later the pines are dying, turning brown, falling down one by one and the hardwoods are growing back.
(It's a friggin mess to look at, there all zig zagged fallen on each other, suspended against others, but it's nature, and probably what the inside of my brain looks like)

What I am saying is that the majority of your life is not spent like this. Its spent hours per day in front of a computer monitor. You are talking about vacations and I'm talking about life. This is what we work for. We try to make all the money we cant so we can spend everyday like this, not just a few weeks per year.
But anyway, speaking of camping. I'm heading to the redwoods in a few weeks. Should be a blast. I'm going looking for Ewoks with the kids!
