The right ones, yes.Question for you: Should I try going back to using indicators to day trade index?

If you got in short at 4797-ish using your indicator (where you circled on the chart), I got in at 4803 without using any indicator. What say you to that?
Short 4803
I didn't get in short, at all today. Long and strong with the trend. If you got in short at 4797-ish using your indicator (where you circled on the chart), I got in at 4803 without using any indicator. What say you to that?

Something to look at if you want. I use this on my local market but looks good on you main index too. Use range bars on the index that the futures cover and use the futures to trade it. Have attached a grab of spx.Thank you for the coaching. I am new to day trading and trend following.
For reasons I am still trying to figure out, I am profitable trading names but not index. Never try index future.
Maybe because I don't use indicators, I trade based on shapes and rhythms. Can't find the shapes or rhythms of indexes. As @padutrader said, they appeared very "choppy" to my untrained eyes compared to names.
Market internals are key. That is cumulative $TICK, the heartbeat of the indexes. Good even for stonks. What are the right ones?![]()
