do i have some kind of virus?

I keep getting notices in my inbox at yahoo that messages are getting undelivered and sent back.....thing is I havent sent these messages and dont see anything in sent folder?

Nah, you're ok.

If the problem is only in your yahoo email (not outlook/outlook express), you're fine. Yahoo will fix the problem within a week or two- you don't even have to do anything.

The exact same thing happened to me during the last big virus.
I was getting (and unwillingly sending!) dozens of infected emails every day for about two weeks.

yeah i got 3 of these last week the day the doom virus was in the news...

just don't open the attachments and you'll be fine

i don't use yahoo mail but most of those big free services (yhoo, msn, hotmail etc) claim to auto scan email for viruses anyway, so it's poss that even if those messages had a virus it was disabled by the service..
