We thought it was the flu, but it came back negative. I am driving to UCSF because the wife got sick today (104 fever). I’ll update in a few days when we know. They are going to culture it there.

I was sick for four days but feel much better today. I’ll show lab results when I get them.

Hey, likewise! Haven't been sick in I don't know how long. Have been getting my flu shots each year around Thanksgiving, this season no exception. About 10 days ago I suddenly had a slight fever, with nasty sinus congestion. It developed into a chest cold with lots of phlegm, and has only started to clear up in the past day or two. I'm thinking it's some sort of superbug.

In my 40's I got what I was certain was the flu. The funny thing was, after a few days I would feel fine, a day or two later, it came back. This went on for 5-6 days.
I finally went to a Doc-In-A-Box and the Dr asked me some questions and then said, "drop your pants".
I was like WTF!. Turns out I had prostatitis. He gave me antibiotics and I was fine after a couple of days. I would have bet any amount it was the flu.
