Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

Quote from cornix:

How can I post other person's statements? Not even speaking that I don't have a purpose to really prove anything. Those people who know, know what they know, my trades happen in their accounts, no need for statements even. :D

Have a good weekend! :)

That post was directed to everyone, not just you---

Peace, surf

Quote from Xspurt:

Yes surf, I know, you want everyone to use real name and post statements and you've been told to get into the real world. You have to use a real name because you are a salesman marketing funds and a journalist with a Twitter following. Go to my Twitter account and see how many follow me.

I'm not marketing anything other than my 9 books on "the easy way to make millions trading FX". If you buy any one and you're not entirely satisfied, I'll give you your money back in full and you can write an explosive write up here.

Your respect of CVD didn't last long.

No, you can block out your real name. Just post a few statements and state you make your living trading FX and ill STFU if the statements make sense. Just 2.

PS. I'll even plug you here-- what's your twitter account?

just to know we are not all aliasses here. I learned a lot from cornix (on your linkedin list too) and Xspurt (not on our linkedin). But I learned too from other traders that are neither on ET or on my linkedin.
I believe good trading is adapted to ones personality. I took a bit of info of mainly five traders and made that into my own version.
You need patience, no chasing and preferably having put quite a few data in spreadsheet to know how your system behaves for when the going gets rough. I don't believe it can come to you overnight especially if you have been imprinted by bad habits like moronic duck. Unlearning things might take years ...

I live from retail forex trading. The principles are the same. I could do the same thing with a futures account, but I like being able to show off my results, and people can let me autotrade for them.

I trade intraday and do some swing trading. Today was really slow because I woke up too late. I had 2 trades. Net 7 pips, which is NOT the norm for me. My average is much higher.

Just so you'll know I'm not pulling your leg, you can check here: These are REAL accounts, not demos.

You make your living trading a demo account? If its not a demo, why not just post a statement? Looks like a micro- demo account to me. Are you from the third world--- I never heard of FX book. Is it a dealer?

Thanks surf for the kind offer but I was joking. Some people want a low profile and I have no social media presence. I don't need it and don't want it. In this day and age if you are not marketing something, anonymity is a safer option.

I said I would post 2 statements from my rookie with the name blocked out. I could say they were mine and you'd not know but I am interested in helping some others to believe in themselves and if nothing more, to know it is possible to answer the OP's question in the affirmative.

I'm not posting to shut you up - I don't want to shut you up because you entertain me and sometimes you raise some very good points. One of them is, what if I'm a savant and my performance therefore has no value to anyone else meaning I can make TA work but no one can follow in my footsteps because I have an innate ability and it has nothing to do with TA - I just fooled myself thinking it was TA. A combination of talent and luck as you put it - but I believe luck runs out quickly in the market if you are a very active intraday trader on short time frames.

Let's say I am a savant - then if I get someone who shows no such ability and can get them to follow in my footsteps sufficiently well to make a good profit, then it is TA that is at work and not my gifting.

So to recap, the goal was to take a rookie that on paper had no chance of getting a job with a top broker and get him to trade the pants of any of them and turn a $10,000 account into $1,000,000+ in 12 months. Yes, 10,000% growth using nothing more than TA. I said he made $10,000 in one day after about 6 weeks of trading but now I have the statements I see that I was wrong and he was telling me a porky because he was afraid of what I'd say. I didn't know I was that scary but there you go.

I want to put that record straight because there are a fair few people who do believe what I say and I owe them the truth. So over the weekend, God willing, I shall set up a new thread and post the statements and give some more details.

I'll also answer questions on why I mentored because the trolls in particular drone on that if you are trading why would you mentor and they can't figure the answer out just like they can't figure out how to trade, so they spend their life on a trading forum telling everyone no one can trade and how life should be if they ruled the world.

Finally I want to answer the question on why bother to answer the question in the first place if I have nothing to market. Believe it or not, some traders like to help others. I can't mentor now but you can buy my 9 books on How To Make A Million for $5000 each at howtomakeamillioninFX dot com or from Amazon.

Let me know if they are out of stock and I'll see if I can get you a signed copy from under my bed. And if you're not standing with your head somewhere dark, you might be able to figure out where I am going by doing this, and if you think it is mentoring or book writing, you're thinking too small. If you think I want to trade other peoples money, your still thinking way toooo small.

You see if I can prove my theory that...
