Do all brokers charge $1.50 like Interactive Brokers to modify an option?

There are legitimate times when you need to modify an order, such as market news has changed, you're going out of town and want to change your order, etc.

$1.50 per modification can quickly add up. I've paid an extra $10-$20 a day just for modifying orders. Per month, that's $200-$400 a month just for modifying orders.

I don't know what you people are talking about. I have changed options orders MANY times at both TD Ameritrade and OptionsXpress and never have I been charged anything other than their normal trading fees.

What is so difficult to understand?

Some brokers pass along a charge and some do not.

IB does.

And when you say charged, you mean they beat you with a large cane at $10 per contract? Would you rather pay $1 per contract with IB and pay cancel fees or $10 at Optionsxpress? If you cancel your orders enough (and don't execute enough trades to offset the cancellation fees) move to Optionsxpress and pay them up the wazoo instead

A good trader doesn't need to modify the order. You have to sh!t or get off the pot.

Are you stupid? IB is shit for me. Why? I am not a day trader. I could care less about nano second execution, trading platforms and other nonsense. I take a position and several days later get out.

TD Ameritrade: $9.99 + 0.75/contract
OptionsXpress A rather complicated structure but definitely not $10/contract. http://www.optionsxpress.com/pricing_and_commissions/

To be precise, they charge $4.95/leg + $0.65/contract so you will pay for one condor $22.40 and for four condors, a total of $30.20--I think that ToS would be cheaper
