Well, according to Kevin Davey, he teaches the traders should be making strategies all the time. He says every year the trader should produce about 3-5 algos per year.

I do not hope to sound negative, but I speak the common sense of the common man.

I do not believe anyone can show in real time real money for years the theory of portfolio of strategies makes money consistently. Better to dollar cost average SP 500 index and do no hard work. And try to discretionary trade the ES futures and scale up over time.

Perhaps someone can prove me wrong.

If you are really into realtime proven results that cannot be faked, you could look on Robbins trading cup. There is a website where you can see results and follow them too (with no further efforts for you, just some subcription fee). Here: https://www.worldcupadvisor.com/#advisors (But of course you do not know all the most profitable advisors beforehand, so that is one thing you need to figure out for yourself, who is trustworthy or not). Hello TrAndy2022,

I think the retail alone trader is a pure disadvantage trying to build XX portfolio of algos and it is not worth the effort or reward.

I rather bet on the following and not bet on a XX algos combined together in a portfolio.

1. Produce 1 algo on ES or NQ, and scale up over time to XX ES/NQ contracts.
2. Discretionary trade ES, scale up to over time to XX ES contracts.
3. Dollar Cost Average SP 500 index over time.

Producing XX algos combined together for 10-20% return and you need about +$200K and you have to hope the algos do not stop working and play mix and match. 1, 2, 3 much easier and efficient.

Ok, but just do not think it is easy work. It can take many years to build such algos from scratch. That is why I presented to you some ready strategies that actually are working. If you want to get some ideas for your ES trading I really would look into trades from successful advisors like on Worldcupadvisor, where you can be sure they are successful what they are doing with verified profits here. Just my two cents.

Look at the Marek Chrastina. +100% for 2 years in a row. is what the retail trader needs.

I rather spend the money monthly to buy this guy systems, then build algos on my own. This is much easier for the retail trader. Far much easier.

I am definitely buying Marek Chrastina algo.

Hello TrAndy2022,

Exactlyyyyyy. You are 1000% correct. There is no need to waste time and effort developing my own ES algo when I can use someone else work. Far more easier to bet on someone with proven algo and make the money this way for the retail trader. This will take care of #1 in my recent post.

So now I can have diversification in my investing portfolio and keep going with #2 and #3.

If you want more website with verified results, there is also well known Futures Truth Magazine. https://futurestruth.com/ (Plenty of successful systems with forward looking results, maybe you need to buy some older published magazines to verify older rankings that match with actual rankings, but this another thing you can consider, I would say.) But if I were you I would prefer Worldcupadvisor is number 1 source then Futures Truth afterwards in second place.

You see this is what I was saying. I could spend years building XX algos for a portfolio and still get it wrong. Versus using my money to bet on 1 system or someone algo with edge.

But look at the returns year to year, like 8% return. Betting +$100K a year for 8% return. That does not sound very rewarding for me or retail trader.

Best to stick with the best algo trading systems only for big money returns and do DCA in SP 500 index.

My first source was presented without using any leverage. You can easily deploy 3 times leverage or more and then you can get some 30% per annum if it holds in the future. But of course with higher interest rates leverage also cost some returns. The other sources all have shown performance WITH leverage, so it would be tough to outperform those with even greater leverage. Just wanted to say that you get my infos in the right hand.
