Distribution going on ?

The volume today was very eye opening. If we get two more days of this kind of volume get ready for the explosion.

Up or down? I assume up when the word explosion is used. Implosion would be used for down.

I am loving this volatility increase so whatever the market does I am ready, willing, and able to partake in the fun!

This increased volatility in the last week is making this market alot easier to trade. The 45 point sell off in about 20 minutes was interesting today. As for the overall market I think money is leaving tech and headed into oil and gold.

Legging into shorts on the Dow and have been long gold for a long time. I'm expecting any surprises to be to the downside. Tight stop in case wrong.

Why is the volume impressive? Just check LU, 900+ mil shares traded.

Hell, I don't know what is going on. On yahoo the nyse volume is shown to be over 4 billion and on reuters it is 2.2 billion

The NYSE floor had problems with their quotes today,(first time they ever had this type of problem, they had to take paper orders and direct calls from brokers, and they were talking about it on CNBC, anyone remember) and this wasn't mentioned in relation to the terror threat.(does anyone see a connection). Then we have a big selloff at the close and many CEO's are dumping huge chunks of shares. Has me wondering. I dont see any indications in the futures right now, but I'm sure there is a lot of speculation going on right now to what is going on.

I noticed that too. When is the last time NYSE had 4 billion in volume?? I've been in the market since mid 1990's and I dont remember a time we had this significant amount. Is it really accurate? CBS Marketwatch has different numbers however.
