The only things that seem to make sense to you are central banks printing more money and blacks getting a raw deal from whites.

Well fortunately the third night of protests in Charlotte were primarily peaceful. The protestors did block the highway and cause other problems, but there was limited violence and looting.
Having the National Guard posted all over town made the difference. As shown on CNN the Guard was posted at the prison, police headquarters & many other locations. They only had their military gear -- no shields, no riot gear, etc. The commander made sure to announce that live ammo was issued. Some Guard soldiers were obviously armed (second line at locations) and others not (first line and walking about). The protestors still got in the face of the Guard at many locations. When one of the protestors threatened to hit a soldier with a pipe - the soldier simply said "Give me a reason to shoot you" according to social media accounts. The protestors quickly learned that the National Guard did not intend to put up with any bullshiat.

One of the positive points in Charlotte is public defender, Toussaint Romain, who has been out each night and has worked to keep the protests peaceful.

This whole thing sickens me. What kind of society are we that we allow a mob of welfare leeches and thugs to take over a large city? The police should have clamped down on the "protests" the first night and a city-wide ban on protests and unlawful assembly enacted immediately.
Blocking an interstate highway, looting and assaulting people are not lawful protest. There will always be criminal elements, the disaffected and outside provocateurs funded by horrible people like Soros who will seek to take advantage. To maintain a functioning society, they must be clamped down on, hard. Instead, we had a namby-pamby liberal democrat mayor and black police chief wringing their hands over the "community." How about the people who actually pay taxes to support your city? What have they done to deserve any of this? Don't they have a reasonable expectation that their safety should outweigh trying to pander to black voters?

Jewish women protest kosher meat prices on Lower East Side

"On May 15, 1902, Jewish housewives on the Lower East Side poured into the streets, breaking windows and throwing meat. The women were protesting a jump in the price of kosher meat from 12 to 18 cents a pound. Food prices were often a source of contention for Jewish immigrant communities in New York. The May 1902 boycott highlighted the ability of Jewish women to organize and coordinate a movement throughout the boroughs. The event made headlines across the city, with some newspapers cheering on the women and others condemning them.
"In early May of 1902, as the price of kosher meat rose, neighborhood butcher shops stopped selling meat in order to try to force wholesalers, often referred to as the Meat Trust, to cut their prices. The Meat Trust refused to budge and prices remained high. Unhappy with the lack of progress made by the butcher shop boycott, female consumers took matters into their own hands.
"On May 14, two women organized a meeting on the Lower East Side to rally support for the proposed boycott. The next day, tens of thousands of Jewish women took to the streets and demonstrated their outrage. Riots broke out as women attacked butcher shops and customers. Police officers tried to protect butcher shops, but protesting women grabbed meat and threw it out into the streets, even dousing it in gasoline and setting it on fire. Police arrested 85 people, three quarters of them women. Encouraged by the Lower East Side, women in other neighborhoods began their own boycotts.

The friends and family of Keith Lamont Scott, the African-American Charlotte man shot and killed by police this week, portray him as a “family man” and “likable.” However, new details are emerging about Scott’s troubled past, his many encounters with law enforcement, and the reason behind his six year stay in a Bexar County, Texas prison just a decade ago.
Scott had a long police and it has been confirmed by the Charlotte Observer, that Scott was convicted in April 2004 of a misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon charge in Mecklenburg County, and other charges were dismissed: including felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault on a female, and communicating threats. Scott was also charged with assault with intent to kill in 1995.
The most shocking find in Scott’s record, however, is what occurred in Bexar County, Texas in 2005. In March of that year, Scott was sentenced to 15 months in state prison for evading arrest, and in July, he was consecutively sentenced to seven years on a conviction of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Sources are now coming forward and alleging that those two separate convictions are in fact related, and they both have to do with a confrontation between Scott and Bexar County Police in early 2005.
One source, who asked CTN to refrain from using her name to protect her identity, told reporters that Scott fired a handgun at San Antonio police officers when they attempted to detain him in February 2005 after noticing that he was driving erratically. (Scott had a history of drunk driving, according to court records).
Allegedly, as the officers approached Scott’s black Ford sedan, he fired two rounds from the driver’s seat and then sped away. Neither of the officers was hit, and they proceeded to give chase and detain Scott several blocks away.
While Scott did leave the gun in his passenger’s seat when he attempted to run on-foot, he did, according to our source, assault one officer by punching him in the face.
Scott was released from Texas state prison in 2011.
In a press conference on Thursday, Charlotte police chief Kerr Putney declined to release the dash cam footage of the shooting, saying it did not provide “absolute” evidence that Scott pointed a weapon at Charlotte police officers earlier this week.
Judging by his record, however, it wouldn’t be the first time that Keith Lamont Scott has found himself pointing a gun at police officers.

Take a breath.........................a lot of passionate individuals on P&R. I think the social tension wave that is happening in society is definitely happening on P&R as well. A phrase I try to live by "until you stop trying to figure out dysfunctional people...you'll never be happy"! We're probably on opposite sides of politics, but i thought I would throw this in FWIW. P.S. The definition of ignorance can be very SUBJECTIVE.
