wow u two geniuses got it all figured eh? Well guys, how about the state run govts which have failed because they suck and don't work? You have to ignore history entirely to just say any non religious govt is good or evolved. In fact I would probably have rather lived in the 'dark ages' under Church rule than under the commie govt of the FORMER soviet union.

The USSR failed for a variety of reasons. One of the biggest is that they were spending monies that they did not have in the cold war. Another is that the regime was oppressive and cruel. Pure socialism works about as well as pure capitalism.

So, please, reconsider the black and white view of the world that you presently have.

Yes, that's it more or less exactly as long as you let me omit the word "absolute", and make a minor change to your last clause so that it reads: "..., has not been attained..." That's why I responded to Marketmasher as I did. But he did not understand. Can't blame him.

I boils down to this. Non-belief in God is falsifiable, but belief in god (lower case now, because any god you choose will do) is not falsifiable. "Faith" in the context of religion, not the trivial context, is only needed because belief in god is not falsifiable. Once god is proven to exist --please don't hold your breath

-- the existence of God will become falsifiable, "faith" will no longer be required, and the non-existence of god will be rejected as having been falsified. Erstwhile atheists will have been discredited --I'm not holding my breath either.

let me sum this up. Dumb and dumber start blowing eachother like they figured out the secrets of the universe with this 'revelation' that state run govts are better than religious ones. Then I point out that ANY govt can suck and fail, and dumb tells ME to reconsider my black and white world view. especially ironic coming from you RCG, considering you turn nearly every thread into a black v white thing.

There are individual people who have lived longer than ANY admitted socialist govt in the history of man. NO, socialism doesn't work as well as capitalism, never has, and never will. Don't forget to follow the link to socialist international and see all the socialist parties vying for power/in power in their nations, repeating the same mistake like a crazy person smashing their head on the wall. Our dem party should be on that list, but isn't.

1. By black and white I did not mean race. Please provide links to where I turn every thread into something about race.

2. I stated that pure forms of EITHER do not work. So the rest of your post is a bit nonsensical, as there are no western governments that do not use both in a liberal manner.
