Dilema

If you don't like your current job, get out and be happy somewhere else. Why do you want to spend 8-10 hours a day doing something you don't like when you have the opportunity to change that. Can't you rent the house? In 5-10 years it might appreciate again and you will have an investment property in your hands no?

You are getting job offers when people are getting laidoff. That's a sign you will find a job fast in your area if things don't work out.

ivan, get the house appraised, lets say that is 500k,negotiate that the company will stop you out at 450 or 475,10% or 5% or some real number and then take the job,now ,just like trading you have a defined risk.

When you ask yourself and you are worried you should not take the leap. Just relocate when all of the factors are perfect. Think that you are the head of the house.
