Not enough contrast?

Your monitor and video card program have settings to adjust the brightness and contrast.

If you are using the stock settings for either, chances are the brightness is too high, and the contrast is too low. Try twerking those.... If you get the settings right, maybe a hot young ass or 2 will appear and make you forget all about these silly complaints...

Can't help the color choice, but maybe if a color wheel was provided so people can choose the oddball combo the prefer - red/orange, orange/brown, yellow/purple, fav football team colors, etc..
