A former soldier who wanted to see what it was like to shoot someone after returning from Afghanistan without firing a single shot gunned down his landlady, a court heard today.
Aaron Wilkinson, 24, from, Woodlesford, Leeds, is accused of murdering 52-year-old Judith Garnett by shooting her in the chest and head in her home in January 2011.
A jury at Bradford Crown Court heard that Wilkinson seemed disappointed at not having fired a single shot while in Afghanistan and had a fascination with what it was like to shoot someone.
