- Speculation for the swell in volume and plunge in futures included the news of the arrest of the CFO of the Chinese telecom company Huawei.

Yeah I traded the open on NQ. I was getting weird 10 second pauses which I thought was IQFeed going out. Turned out to be "CME Velocity Logic" pausing the market.
The NQ dropped about 0.5% within 10 seconds of the 5:00 PM open which was enough to trigger the "velocity logic" I guess. It continued to fall and triggered about 6-10 more pauses from what I saw.
Looking at the gap up on 12/2, it looks like there may have been 2-3 velocity logic pauses there as well, but I didn't see any news about them.

At 2350, the Fed will yawn and remind everyone that they are about the economy and not about "Wall Street", and that if they *were* about Wall Street, then they would take notice when the S&P p/e is materially below its historic average (which at 2350, it would just be hitting).......
That's pathetic that they paused the markets like that, they should let the market Fu©king free fall and stop with the nonsense...it's like the circuit breakers on wallstreet. Remove them and let the market do what it needs to do. If it drops 18% in a day so be it...tired of this Fu©king nonsense, they created all this algorithm trading fiasco with computers doing the trading...

If the markets go into full blown bear collapse they will pause all interest hikes and drop rates to zero percent within weeks!!!!!!!!! Initiate more QE and prop up the markets...
