Agree....we could open up down 2% and rally 1.7% into the close....bring on the volatility...the more the better ....
Not only the Asia stuff, also (as mentioned above), but this too, from 30 years ago...

It's damn important, but way few pay any attention...
first 5 mins, price went down and up significantly.
very difficult to earn money from such violent movement unless you are in trading house with very high speed internet connection and no lag.
now ES going down again, togother with NK and hangseng.
this is the part that is easy to earn money.

And just as easy to lose money as well.
Dow futures off more than 300+....this must be all those algorithms going haywire tonight ...should be a very interesting opening...maybe one of those openings where stocks can't find bids or asks and then you see big name stocks being halted lake they were a few years back......that was insane...I'll take a 1000+ point drop at the open...shake the bulls out a bit...go long and look for a 50% recovery from there.

What is the current spread? 2 ticks on the YM? Is that considered wide these days?
talk about NQ as I didn't monitor YM. normally bid offer spread is 1 or perhaps 2 ticks.
when market is violent, it could be > 10 ticks.
now market has cooled down significantly but I see that the spread is > 2 ticks..
Lots of "smart money" has positioned themselves long for Santa...we might see a Real panic in the next couple days.
