Did the CME change open and close times?

It is 4:21 CST (all times from here on in are CST). I am seeing futures tick. Did they change the time when equity futs are open and closed?

It used to be they closed at 3:15 PM, reopened at 3:30 PM and closed again at 4:00 PM for an hour, then reopened at 5:00 PM.

"Tick"? is that the same as trade?

You probably saw the book being put together for the opening.

There was a slew of data that went through! They were definetly last, not b/a changes. I saw it from two feeds, 1) from a direct connection to the CME, and 2) from Activ.

CME closes electronic trading from 4:30-5:00 CPT each business day

Well my frontend shows them as printed trades as well but they're not. I agree it's a weird system.

Sorry, right. They reopen from 3:30 to 4:30, then close down for a 1/2 hour, then reopen again.
