Did anyone make a lot of money this year? This trader said he made over a million from 50k...

He could be legit but then why sell a course? That's the part that always gets me. If you are that successful you would be sitting there printing money day in and day out.

right. successful trader shouldn't sell course.
because < 10% of the students will be successful.

you are going to get
thousands of nasty messages, face angry students.
students might even sue the coach if students can't make it.

His strategy works for him. No one else and people don't get this. You cannot sell this stuff no matter how sound the trading principles are or how good the plan looks on paper.

I witnessed a friend of a friend make 23k to 4.4mil in 6 months. I said witnessed since I have the chance to look real accounts on his computer. Normally I am 100% non-believer of anything profitable on twitter or any other platform when they sell sthg behind. This guy made 5 mils a year and I asked why he did not brag on twitter showing real account proof and he replied 'I didn't have any time to tweet' and I don't want anyone to know I have this money. Sounds reasonable. Maybe I am much more skeptical but I do believe no one will showoff on a social platform after making millions (if he/she does not have any other agenda :)

Is he legit? His youtube channel is takeprofitsalways

Its possible.
Fooled by randomness?

Anyone making that kind of return is likely to

a) use very high leverage

b) be very lucky

With a large enough distribution of traders that's bound to happen and what's eventually likely to happen is that he loses it all if he continues putting his money at risk. You don't hear about the other traders who actually blew it all.

Of course, there's the possibillity that he actually knows what he's doing. After all, it is possible to generate very high returns from trading. Hence why it attracts a lot of people in the first place. :)

Not really. He is probably playing penny stocks with some leverage but not necessarily super high leverage.

Did he share with you his method? Or any hints?

*he was trading FX with 1 to 100 leverage.
*he was trading only 4-6 diff instruments. Lots of big positions most of the time (I said he was lucky but in the end there is the money :/)
*he has a list of rules written in big fonts on his desk mostly risk/money management rules ( I think he was a stock trader back in days)
*not using charts only looking at prices (that part looks very different but he said he is not using any technicals so on, only historical price levels)
*he won most of the money when a pair started a move up or down sharply. I suppose his power/luck/specialty came from trading big breakout/trends.
*he is not a fan of twitter or any other platforms, just following main channels for some news.

anyway maybe it is just luck or he is an expert, but he did it. respect that.

With 100x leverage I guess anything is possible. But 100x is super risky, anything more than 3x is nuts for me. But a win is a win afterall. You can afford to lose many times because you only need to be rich only once. If he has any sense, he should take half of it buy a property or something and then take the rest to "play" with.

Indeed. From my view, it is pure luck, but there are some rules he was following which make it some controlled luck.
From what I heard, he invested most of the total amount to some property type investments. Less than 500K is held at the brokerage.
