If I had been offered a bonus - for extraordinary performance after 9/11, I would have been too embarrassed to accept it, even a pittance. I would have directed it to a charity. If the bonus was $500, it doesn't matter any. If it was 5 million, it would not matter anyway because if it's 5 million today, one would know there is a lot more down the pike. You simply don't accept it given the circumstances.
Decency, wisdom, common sense, and humilty, are absent in this quarter of Wall Street.
