DHS Buys Even More Hollow Point Ammo

Quote from AK Forty Seven:

we can change our gov at the voting booth

True, but some may feel that because of entitlements, idiot voters, biased media, and resistance to voter ID laws that the voting booth may be compromised, not to mention outright voter fraud.

Add to that the vilification of certain ideologies and religious beliefs by those currently in power and their followers (you are one if you ever used the word "tea bagger") and add to that a huge ammo buildup in said gov without explanation and you can see reason for concerns...

Or maybe it's just all a tin foil hat conspiracy.

1) I can't speak for them, but to me that just means they think it's coming. i don't see any call to arms and revolution in those statements. You don't know why the DHS is stocking up on ammo, none of us do, which is the reason I asked WHY?

2) I disagree. So did Thomas Jefferson: “….To consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions is a very dangerous
doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy. Our judges are
as honest as other men and not more so. They have with others the same passions for party, for
power, and the privilege of their corps…and their power is more dangerous as they are in office for
life and not responsible, as the other functionaries are, to the elective control. The Constitution has
erected no such tribunal, knowing that to whatever hands confided, with the corruption of time and
party, its members would become despots….”

If you've read the Constitution then you would know that the govt is doing things that document doesn't authorize them to do. Blatant example, no ability to carry in IL or DC, clearly a right that is being violated.

3) being elected doesn't give one dictatorial power. What would you do if Congress passed a law banning religion and the SC upheld it? Obviously that would violate the 1st Amendment, but they were elected so it would be ok right?

I stated it was my opinion (not fact) that preparing for traitors possibly trying to overthrow the government was the reason for The DHS arms and ammo stockpile.Again, thats my opinion I'm not claiming it to be fact

2.I judge The Constitution by what it says and what I interpret it to mean, not what Thomas Jefferson says.Jefferson himself wasn't sure if some of the things he did was constitutional such as The Louisiana purchase. The Constitution was also the result of compromise by multiple people so their individual thoughts doesn't mean as much as what the Constitution says imo

There is no federal ban on handguns. The hand gun ban is limited to a few cities and is still being fought and won in the courts, it just takes time.

3. I agree being elected doesn't give one dictatorial power. If thats directed towards Obama all his major laws has went though Congress and he has not tried to enforce any law ruled
unconstitutional.

I'm not going to speculate on something I doubt would ever happen (banning religion)

yeah, but unless they are footing the bill they need to keep it to themselves or in their govt subsidized water closet.

You know puppies are born with their eyes closed. It takes them a while before they open their eyes and see the world for what it really is. Reminds me of young liberals. :D

I look back on my days as a liberal and look at the libs of today. It's a disturbing comparison. The true libs have divided. Some call themselves progressives, others (such as myself) call ourselves libertarians.
