Determining Target Price

I can never understand how some of you and analysis are able to set a target price. I mean, so far I’ve been able to tell which company has solid financials…but I have no idea in figuring what price I should buy at and what price I’m targeting to sell at.

Right now, I just look at the current price of the stock I'm interested in and than set a buy limit that's a bit lower. But it's pretty much a random price target. As for selling, I don't really have a target price to sell either.

Any tips?
