IMO, determination often outweighs IQ in achieving success as a trader. While intelligence is valuable, trading success is not solely dependent on academic intelligence. Perhaps the less well defined characteristic called "EQ" is more important than IQ when it comes to trading.

When reading personal trading journals over the years in this and other forums, it has always been striking that so many individuals were hampered by issues related to psychology. Also that so many journalers were aware of their specific issues but simply could not seem to overcome them.
